Brunel University London is seeking to recruit an Associate Lecturer (Education) for its new Physician Associate Programme, based within the College of Health and Life Sciences. Building on our position as a leading provider of health education programmes, the University instigated a strategic plan for further expansion, to firmly establish the College as both a national and international centre of excellence. We seek individuals with the vision, commitment and academic ambition to contribute to the delivery of Physician Associate education.

With modern, purpose built teaching and research facilities set within a vibrant campus based University, Brunel University London provides excellent opportunities to work with internationally recognised academics in other health related disciplines including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Community Nursing, Psychology, Bio-sciences and Social Work. We also have links through the Health Science Academy to jointly deliver programmes with Imperial College London and Buckinghamshire New University. Therefore, we are in an excellent position to deliver a quality Physician Associate programme.

The successful applicant will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of a high quality Physician Associate programme. You will also be required to support students in practice, visiting them whilst on placement to ensure the achievement of the Physician Associate standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Physician Associate to develop their educational skills and be part of an innovative and supportive programme focusing on the educational needs of its students.

The successful applicant will have a first degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area, an appropriate professional qualification in a relevant discipline, and be a Qualified Physician Associate with clinical experience. You will also be a member of the Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register. Experience of teaching at UG/ PG levels or, equivalent experience of training in the workplace is desirable; as are presentation skills and the ability to address large audiences clearly and effectively. In addition, you will need to be able to co-ordinate and prioritise a range of activities effectively.
