Human Resources Partner (Three posts)

Hours: 36 hours per week.
Annual Leave:
30 days per annum.

We are seeking to recruit the following three roles into our friendly and professional HR team:

  • 1 HR Partner – permanent role.
  • 1 HR Partner – up to 12 month fixed term maternity cover.
  • 1 HR Partner – 12 month fixed term contract.

The Human Resources team works in partnership with departments and individuals across the University. Drawing on our professionalism, expertise and knowledge, our responsibilities range from staff empowerment to change facilitation. This is a brilliant opportunity to deliver creative solutions to complex operational cases and also build rewarding partnerships with senior managers to support the strategic delivery of our new corporate plan. The project agenda for the coming year will enhance the profile of the HR team and grow your skills and knowledge in key HR areas such as policy development, career pathways, employee engagement and performance management. You will find the work is diverse and challenging.

We are seeking applications from HR generalist professionals who can bring excellent employee relations and case management experience, resourcing and recruitment knowledge and the ambition to make a difference to the employee experience at St Mary’s.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, you will develop close working relationships with your designated Schools and Services across the University, supporting HR planning and change initiatives and employee relations activities. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to successfully influence and negotiate with your stakeholders. Experience of the HE sector will strengthen any application however this is also a fantastic opportunity to work in rapidly changing sector which functions in an increasingly competitive and commercial marketplace.

This opportunity will suit an HR professional interested in joining an institution embedded in history but primed for change.

The HR team work across two sites; attractive, open plan offices next to Twickenham station and from the beautiful St Mary’s University campus in Teddington.
