An exciting opportunity is available to join an EC-funded project. You will be carrying out research at the interface of synthetic polymer chemistry and biological chemistry on a project that involves the development and functionalization of new peptide-polymer materials.
You will be a highly motivated person with extensive experience in polymer synthesis, peptide synthesis and handling, self assembly and characterisation. We expect that the proposed programme will be high impact and we are seeking an enthusiastic and committed person to join our research team.
If you have not yet been awarded your PhD but are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant on level 5 of the University grade structure (£28,453 pa). Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure (£29,301 pa).
