To make a leading contribution to the Scottish Genome Partnership (SGP), which will be handling next-generation sequencing (NGS) data for existing cancer patient cohorts and rapid turnaround diagnostics for new patients using a state-of-the-art in-house Illumina X sequencing facility.
Specifically, to improve existing sample annotation processes and work with our colleagues at GEL and in the clinic on better patient reporting capabilities by:
- Managing (storing, annotating, disseminating) all SGP-related whole genome sequencing (WGS) workflow results.
- Keeping WGS annotation workflows current.
- Improving existing annotation processes in support of patient diagnostics.
Standard Terms & Conditions
Salary will be on the University’s Research and Teaching Grade, level 7, £33,943 - £38,183 per annum.
This post has funding until 31 October 2018.
New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.
