Hall Assistant

University of Oxford - Brasenose College

Full Time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and alternate weekends on split shifts

Reporting to the Steward, the Hall Assistant is responsible for providing the highest standards of catering service, cleanliness and hygiene across all catering service areas in the College. The post holder is responsible for providing first class service to all who dine at the College. 

As a Hall Assistant you must have an interest in customer service and food hygiene. Be a good listener and able to take direction and guidance from the more senior members of the team. You will ideally have previous experience of working in the food service industry, be flexible and willing to work weekends and have excellent team working skills.

The team work a two week shift rota of early (7.15am) or late shift (12.15pm), Monday to Friday, with a day off in the week, and alternate weekends on split shifts Saturday 10am – 2pm and 6pm to 8pm and Sunday 10am – 2pm and 5.30pm – 9.30pm.  The post holder will be required to work the hours necessary to fulfil the job requirements and subject to operational needs.
