The International Recruitment and Mobility team at Goldsmiths, University of London are looking to appoint an International Student Recruitment Officer to manage the recruitment of international students from within the UK. The post-holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a strategic and customer-focused approach to student recruitment activity, through careful management of the UK channels and pipelines; UK-based agents, private pathway providers, international schools and colleges; building and expanding this network, developing progression and commission agreements, and monitoring applicants and enrolments.
The International Student Recruitment Officer will have a strong understanding of the information needs and decision making factors of prospective international students and also of the market-place for UK pre-degree provision and be able to develop Goldsmiths positioning in this market.
The role-holder will be expected to demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills, the ability to think strategically and build excellent relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders. They will be a confident and engaging public speaker and have the ability to inspire enthusiasm in a wide range of internal and external audiences.
This post sits within Goldsmiths International Recruitment Team and assumes lead responsibility for recruitment of international students already studying in the UK through targeted schools, colleges and private pathway provider liaison work, the development and oversight of partnership and progression agreements, and working with UK-based international recruitment agents.
The role-holder will be expected to maintain oversight of application and offer numbers, and also monitor applications coming via schools and college links, working closely with admissions colleagues to streamline processes in relation to admission and enrolment of these students and effectively manage the relationship with feeder school/colleges.
The role-holder will also take a lead role in the delivery of larger-scale international projects and on campus events which support international recruitment functions.
