The Brunel Educational Excellence Centre (BEEC) aims to promote, support and enhance learning and teaching across the University. ASK works with all students from all colleges.
The HeadStart Officer will be responsible for the expansion of transition support for widening participation (WP) students and meet agreed targets while contributing to the delivery of pastoral support for WP students. As a result, it is important to have experience of working with WP students and knowledge of widening participation in the UK HE context.
The HeadStart Officer will be responsible for organising and overseeing the successful continuation of the core HeadStart event in September, while also overseeing and implementing the expansion of HeadStart activities throughout the departments, and building partnerships with academics and local colleges. Therefore experience of planning large scale events and events management is essential.
The role calls for excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of academic staff and students to support curriculum and learning needs.
