At Lecturer level the successful candidate must have a completed PhD and evidence of the ability to produce research at an international level. At Senior Lecturer level, the successful candidate will have a progressive research and impact agenda, with a publications profile consistent with this level of appointment, demonstrating evidence of the ability to publish in top rated international journals. All candidates are expected to apply for external research funding. The Marketing group currently has a reputation for world-class research in the areas of consumer research (from both a consumer culture theory and consumer psychology perspective), brand management and advertising research, with a growing international reputation in the areas of sustainable business/marketing practices and the marketing–entrepreneurship interface.
The Marketing group also achieves teaching excellence on our highly rated undergraduate and Masters degrees, including the MSc in Marketing and the BSc in Management and Marketing (currently ranked 1st in the Complete University Guide). In addition to an ability to teach marketing principles, we are particularly interested in candidates who are well-placed to teach: e/digital/social media marketing, new product development or consumer psychology.
