KTP Associate

We are seeking to appoint a talented and energetic engineer to join our team as a KTP Associate. The successful candidate will be employed by the University on a 33 month contract, with an anticipated start date of 1 December 2016 and will be based at least 75% at Uuni (Tapaninaho Limited). Although both the academic and industrial supervisors supervise the project on which the Associate is working, the Associate will need to have the capacity to operate and manage the project on a day-to-day basis. Therefore strong personal skills, self-motivation, and the ability to plan and organise time are required.

You will be responsible for leading the science and engineering of Uuni products, with the view of future forging the Uuni Product Engineering and Lifecycle Knowledge Management team, which conducts impact assessments on all Uuni product lines. You will be expected to work closely, independently and to provide advice and liaise with Uuni design team, clients, sub-contractors, and other key stakeholders.

As a KTP Associate you will work in a team to: to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and the spread of technical and business skills through an innovation project; provide company-based training for the most able graduates in order to enhance their business and specialist skills, stimulate and enhance business relevant research and training undertaken by the knowledge base (universities & public funded research organizations.

Applicants should hold at least a MEng/MSc/MPhil/MRes Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Product Design Engineering and have experience with product design and/or functional analysis applied to research in a relevant discipline.
