One of the most forward-thinking and diverse Cambridge Colleges, Churchill College seeks to appoint a new Development Director to lead its philanthropic fundraising operations. The College has a five year development strategy in place and a supportive and engaged Fellowship.
Churchill College was founded in 1958 as the national and Commonwealth memorial to Sir Winston Churchill and is home to the Churchill Archives Centre. With a progressive national profile and a diverse student body consisting of circa 460 undergraduates and 280 graduate students, together with 160 Fellows, Churchill College helps to lead educational development in the wider University and beyond.
Managing and leading the Fundraising office, the new Development Director will have overall responsibility for reviewing the Development Strategy and building the case for support. They will collaborate with the Fellowship on strategies for fundraising and will research and execute fundraising campaigns.
The successful candidate will have at least five years’ fundraising experience and demonstrable leadership skills. Alternatively, significant experience in a senior sales or customer-facing management role in a service environment could be of interest. They will have the ability to manage priorities, set and maintain standards and communicate across a complex organisation and with a wide-range of people. The successful applicant will have a good degree and may have additional professional qualifications.
