Main Purpose of the Post
Applicants are invited for the position of fixed term Research Officer: Social Policy Projects, to work on projects relating to Social policy issues, focussing on undertaking the Welsh Government funded Supporting People programme evaluation utilising linked data. This project will work directly with the ADRC-Wales.
The Administrative Data Research Centre in Wales (ADRC~W) is led from Swansea University and involves Cardiff University and a number of other UK and forms the Administrative Data Research Network (ADRN). http://adrn.ac.uk/
The Welsh Government (WG) Programme to Maximise the Use of Existing Data (http://wales.gov.uk/statistics-and-research/making-better-use-existing-data/?lang=en) is working closely with the ADRC~W and ADRN to use linked data to improve the evidence base for policymaking. WG is funding this post to evaluate the Supporting People programme using linked data.
