Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations (CUDAR) has an outstanding track record of securing philanthropic gifts and has overall responsibility for coordinating the campaign for the University and Colleges of Cambridge - see www.philanthropy.cam.ac.uk.
We are developing a new CRM system which goes live in a few months' time. This system contains detailed records of over 300,000 alumni, prospects, donors, trusts and organisations. The data held enables fundraising and alumni relations across Collegiate Cambridge, and is also used on behalf of Schools, Faculties, Departments, Clubs and Societies.to drive communications with alumni, and to support the fundraising functions of the University.
Reporting to the Data Support Supervisor, the post holder will help maintain statistical evidence of all data obtained. Data will be provided from a variety of sources either electronically or manually and the post holder will be responsible for quality assurance of that data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the Database. This will entail close liaison, monitoring and supporting Database Assistants, Colleges, Schools Departments and Faculties to ensure positive relations with our alumni and non-alumni and generating philanthropic funds.
The Senior Quality Assurance Assistant in collaboration with the Data Support Supervisor, will also be responsible for process mapping existing procedures, analysing and recommending where improvements can be made and writing new/revised procedures for the new Database regarding all data exchanges and updates. They will also support with training new staff and updating existing staff on any new developments of the new system.
