You will join the brand new WMG Engineering Psychology team. Alongside your WMG Engineering Psychology colleagues, you will apply the science of human behaviour, cognition, sensory perception, and capability to the optimisation of workplaces, interventions, systems and products.
You will have the opportunity to work on a range of topics including product innovation and personalisation; consumer behaviour and acceptance; user health and well-being and workplace well-being. Being part of a multidisciplinary group, you will work closely with other WMG research groups and external partners (including commercial and community organisations), to drive innovation across a broad range of sectors.
You will support the development and growth of the group, and will take a lead role in a new MSc module in Engineering Psychology. There will also be opportunities to develop digitally-delivered skills training courses.
You will possess a 2.1 honours degree or equivalent in psychology, ergonomics or human factors and a PhD in a relevant field. You will be able to evidence experience of research in a related field. You will be able to develop, deliver and publish high quality research and generate external funding to support the research projects. Possessing the ability to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students you will also be able to develop curriculum content.
