Salary: £17,399 to £20,624 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
Applications are invited for the above posts to work as part of the University of Nottingham Campus IT Support Team, which plays a central supporting role in helping to ensure students, staff and third parties derive the greatest possible benefits from the university’s AV and IT services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first and second line support to the university community for all AV and IT related support requests received via telephone, email, self-service and in-person.
Candidates must have a successful track record in a similar technical support role, including:
- Troubleshooting and supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office products, desktop and laptop hardware
- Sound understanding of operating system security principles
- Working knowledge of Audio Visual technologies
- Knowledge of Apple, Linux and mobile operating systems is desirable
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
Hours of work
The hours of work are 36.25 per week Monday to Friday:
- Evening post: 13:00 – 21:15
