The University wishes to appoint a Senior Academic Support Officer to join a busy team in the Academic Registry. You will have a significant level of responsibility in two key areas of the Registry’s work: the University’s intermission processes and the planning and delivery of the University’s graduation ceremonies. You will also undertake other responsibilities within Academic Support and the Registry more generally.
You will be an excellent organiser and decision-maker, and will be able to prioritise work effectively in an environment with demanding deadlines. You will have experience in preparing detailed documentation for oral and written reporting and will have excellent IT skills in the use of Excel, Word and the management of large volumes of data. You will be able to communicate effectively and will have experience of handling sensitive and sometimes difficult situations in a confidential setting, including one-to-one meetings with students.
