Purpose and Main Duties
Birkbeck, University of London is looking to recruit a Market Research and Intelligence Officer within the Marketing and Recruitment Team. This exciting and wide ranging role helps to drive future marketing and recruitment strategy and activity.
The appointed person must be experienced in analysing and interpreting data to inform decisions and will be required to design, manage and implement a wide range of research projects that support and inform Birkbeck’s marketing and student recruitment activity as well as researching and identifying new markets, inputting into portfolio reviews and providing up-to-date data and analysis on sector trends.
This high profile role requires someone with the ability to build excellent working relationships internally and externally, including with senior staff. The post holder will have excellent project management skills and ideally have experience in carrying out quantitative and qualitative research using both primary and secondary data. It is essential that they have excellent oral and written communication skills and are able to produce accurate and clear reports and present their findings to a wide range of internal audiences.
Salary: Grade 6 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £32,042 rising to £36,548 per annum.
This post is full time, 35 hours per week (1.0 FTE) and open-ended. The salary quoted above is on the College's London Pay Scale and includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area. The initial salary will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. The appointment is subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
