The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology is one of the birthplaces of molecular biology and is an internationally renowned centre for fundamental biomedical research.
The LMB has a strong track record in training Postdoctoral Fellows who have gone on to become leading Scientists. Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the Group of Dr Patrycja Kozik at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, to work within a programme aimed at understanding the molecular mechanism of antigen cross-presentation in dendritic cells. The project will involve developing novel CRISPR-Cas9 screening approaches to identify and characterize genes that control processing of antigens acquired from tumours or infected cells.
Candidates should have a PhD in biological subject (ideally immunology or cell biology) or be due to complete doctoral studies within 6 months of applying in a biological subject. Candidates should also have experience in microscopy, flow cytometry or molecular biology.
Successful applicants will be awarded a 3 year Career Development Fellowship/MRC Postdoctoral Training Scheme. The fellowship is a training and development position for a Postdoctoral Scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, or is moving into a new research discipline.
