Senior Facilities Manager

The University of Bristol has a large and diverse property portfolio including advanced research buildings and historic landmarks.

We are seeking an experienced facilities professional with a proven track record of coordinating multiple service teams in a complex, customer service environment. Reporting to the Head of FM Soft Services the Senior FM will coordinate the activity of a variety of estates staff and contractor groups ensuring a safe and cost effective estates provision is delivered to the University.

You will line manage a Facilities Manager and have responsibility for a zone of properties which include complex research, teaching environments and culturally significant buildings.

The role requires excellent inter-personal skills, organisational ability and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have to manage expectations, negotiate priorities, carry out fire risk assessments and coordinate Estates activities to ensure University business is not interrupted.
