Ideally, you will have a Master's degree in Automation Engineering (or equivalent) and have knowledge of the design and operation of current manufacturing technologies and their control systems. Experience of analysing complex process systems and implementing automation and PLC solutions is essential, as is knowledge and experience of numerical analysis tools, such as Matlab, Simulink CFD and CAD software. Experience of mechanical handling and design, and relevant industrial experience is highly desirable. You must be pro-active, have excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
