The Department of Information Studies is offering a teaching opportunity across three disciplinary areas - librarianship, records management and archives.
As a Lecturer, your role focuses on undergraduate and postgraduate program activities within the School of Media, Culture & Creative Arts. You will deliver excellent teaching programs on campus and online, and through Open Universities Australia.
This outstanding opportunity will allow you to utilise your strong industry links and contribute to the Department’s profile within and outside of the School of Media, Culture & Creative Arts and the University more broadly.
A doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and professional standing in a discipline relevant to information studies is essential. Demonstrated professional practice and knowledge of current developments in the organisation of information, including indexing, resource description, classification, metadata, and ontologies is paramount to your success in this position.
Experience supervising higher degree by research students is desirable.
This position will commence in early 2017.
