An exciting opportunity is being offered for an experienced and innovative NMC registered midwife to join the midwifery team at the University of Northampton. We are seeking to appoint a Senior/Lecturer in Practice (Midwifery) who has a degree, experience of working full time clinically (or equivalent), an experienced qualified mentor.
The role includes responsibility for teaching and assessing across the midwifery curriculum, sound knowledge and engagement in research and support for the Faculty of Health and Society to enhance interdisciplinary learning and international opportunities for students and staff. In addition the post holder will support student midwives and mentors in the clinical environment (at Milton Keynes). The Faculty of Health and Society is a new faculty which contains the following subject areas;
- Criminal Justice Studies
- Sociology (including Criminology)
- Occupational Therapy
- Paramedic Science
- Sport, Exercise & Life Science
- Social Work
You will need to be an effective communicator, highly organised, ability to travel to support students and mentors in a variety of placements and work collaboratively and effectively with other disciplines.
