Alumni Fund Coordinator

Nottingham Trent University - Professional Services / Development and Alumni Relations

Campus: City Site

Do you want to make a difference? Join the Development and Alumni Relations Office and help students from low income backgrounds reach their potential, help fund volunteering projects in overseas countries, help the most vulnerable in our society access legal help, and help the 1 in 2 of us who will be diagnosed with cancer during our lifetime - plus much more.

Nottingham Trent University's (NTU) Development and Alumni Relations Office is seeking an individual with the desire to succeed in fundraising to join our team as the Alumni Fund Coordinator.

The Alumni Fund is the University’s annual appeal which funds additional facilities, resources and new opportunities for NTU students today and in the future, as well as projects at the University which have worldwide benefit (such as the John van Geest Cancer Research Centre).

The Alumni Fund Assistant will support the University's alumni fundraising activities, including direct mail, e-campaigns and telephone fundraising. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to gain experience in an area of fundraising which is becoming increasingly important for the University. The nature of the role means that the post-holder will be required to work during evenings and occasional weekends at times during the year. As the role line manages a large team of part-time employees the successful candidate will gain a wealth of experience in this area, as well as the obvious fundraising experience.

You will have experience of working on telephone fundraising campaigns and of communicating with people from a variety of backgrounds. You will have good planning and time management skills and the ability to supervise others is essential. A degree or marketing qualification is advantageous.
