Education and Student Experience Administrative Assistants

University of Exeter - Education & Student Services, based in the College of Life and Environmental Sciences

These posts are available immediately on a permanent, full time basis in Psychology and Geography. Job share for part-time candidates will be considered.

The College of Life and Environmental Sciences brings together the complementary disciplines of Biosciences, Geography, Psychology and Sport and Health Sciences to provide a rich and diverse interdisciplinary teaching and research portfolio.  We attract some of the brightest and best students in the country and from across the world and aim to provide a supportive and inspiring experience across all levels of study. Our research plays a significant role in contributing to the University’s science strategy and we are committed to pursuing world class research that has a positive global impact and tackles the challenges of the 21st century.

The main responsibilities of the role are to provide a helpful and approachable frontline service for students, staff and visitors, dealing with all aspects of student support.  The post holder will work effectively within a wider, multi-site administrative team to deliver a seamless service to staff, taught students and external contacts to the College.  The posts are, in the first instance, at our Streatham campus, supporting Psychology and Geography.

We are looking for an experienced administrator with excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills who is able to provide support to a wide-range of staff and students.  Qualities such as an ability to work flexibly, independently and as part of a team, to plan effectively and to remain calm under pressure are important.
