HR Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional HR Assistant to join our busy and friendly HR Division on a permanent basis.

Principally focused on the HR Advice function, you will work collaboratively in a highly motivated and customer focused team providing first line Employee Relations and Policy advice to service users across the University. This is very much a hands-on role where you will provide help, support and advice across a range of HR issues online, by telephone and, where appropriate, face to face. You will also have key responsibility for delivering day to day HR processes in accordance with policy. Your ability to organise, prioritise and use your initiative will enable you to deliver high quality work in a fast paced environment.

To be successful in this role you will be a motivated and tenacious individual with previous HR experience, gained in a professional services or customer-oriented environment. Strong IT skills are a must, as well as first class interpersonal skills to be able you to build good working relationships and communicate effectively and confidently at all levels. We are currently adopting innovative approaches to drive further improvements to our HR offering, aligned with University strategy, best practice and legislation; you will make a key contribution to developing and implementing pivotal changes through a portfolio of value-adding HR initiatives. Additionally, this role will provide you with opportunities to gain exposure in Employee Relations, supporting the ER Advisors in HR cases including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management and sickness related cases.
