Henley Business School, part of the University of Reading, is a world-class triple accredited business school. We have created a strong and integrated marketing and recruitment team.  This is an opportunity for an ambitious Director of Strategic Marketing to build on our success developing compelling marketing and recruitment strategies; enhancing Henley's brand and reputation; and helping to improve Henley's position in the key Business School and University rankings.

Working closely with the Dean and senior team management, you will be involved with new strategic initiatives as well as delivering clear marketing strategies for the current portfolio of degree programmes and executive education in order to attract high calibre students and clients from around the world. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a strong commercial focus, a leadership style that is collaborative with a real desire to deliver excellent service to internal stakeholders as well as external customers.

You will have:

  • Track record of devising and implementing effective communications and marketing strategies
  • Experience in consumer services businesses both B2C and B2B
  • Track record of leading and managing a high performing sales and marketing function
  • A sound understanding of how to deliver international and national marketing campaigns
  • An understanding of the culture of higher education and how to achieve results
