Salary: £39,324-£46,925 plus a market rate supplement of up to £29,000
The Department of Economics at the University of Warwick (UK) invites applications from strong candidates in any field of economics.
You will be able and willing to contribute to the high quality of teaching on the undergraduate and graduate programmes within the Department of Economics. You will also undertake research of international quality which will enhance the Department’s international research profile.
You will have completed your PhD in Economics, or be close to completion, by the post start date.
These positions will begin from 1st September 2017. These positions are subject to the University’s normal conditions of probation.

Full duties and person spec are as follows:
Duties and Responsibilities
- To undertake high quality research in Economics as a principal investigator and project leader at an international level. To seek to publish research outcomes in appropriate refereed journals of international standing, and publish and disseminate the results of research and scholarship in other outlets. To engage in external academic activities which enhance the Department’s international research profile.
- To pursue the Department’s research income generation agenda by applying for, negotiating and managing research funds to the benefit of your own or others' research activity.
- To teach on programmes in the Department of Economics under the direction of the Head of Department. To develop and apply appropriate teaching techniques and materials which generate understanding and enthusiasm amongst students. To undertake curriculum design across a range of programmes of study at various levels, and reviewing and improving as required. To supervise UG and research students and provide pastoral support for our students.
- To undertake reasonable administrative duties within the department, under the direction of the Head of Department, and to play a full part in the life of the department.
PhD in Economics or near completion
Able and willing to undertake independent and high quality research of international quality in Economics
Able and willing to contribute to the high quality of teaching on the undergraduate and graduate programmes within the Department of Economics
Able and willing to contribute to the administration and general life of the Department of Economics
