Named as University of the year by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016, we are a global University with a world-class research profile, an enterprising spirit, and prestigious business links that reflect our innovative and forward-thinking approach. Research and Innovation Services (RIS), offers a range of services in support of Research, Enterprise and Knowledge Transfer activities across the University. Dynamic and commercially focussed, it works closely with University Academics and acts as the interface between the University and business.
The RIS Projects Team is a small unit of busy professionals currently looking for someone to join them in a vibrant and challenging environment. This is an exciting opportunity and would suit someone who is happiest working on a number of different projects and initiatives. If you enjoy working on one thing at a time in a highly structured and task driven setting, this isn’t for you. We need someone with initiative who welcomes variety and who has a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Educated to Degree level or equivalent and/or with a professional project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2), and relevant project management experience, you will be a highly confident communicator and demonstrate effective problem-solving and decision making skills. You will be the sort of person who can look at a complex scenario and draw out the essentials – and be absolutely focused on doing what it takes to deliver a successful outcome.
In return we offer a generous annual leave allowance, defined pension scheme, exclusive discounted membership for the Surrey Sports Park, on-site childcare facilities and relocation allowance (where applicable), in addition to the opportunity to join one of the best Universities in the Country.
