The role-holder will manage all the library's activities and will be responsible for the long-term strategic development of library and information services at the School, with a view to supporting the teaching, research interests and needs of the School and the wider University community. The role-holder will develop and implement innovative policies and service strategies appropriate to the needs of the library's diverse user groups, in line with the School's aim to provide world-class facilities to its teaching and research community.
You will have higher degree in librarianship or information science and have knowledge of professional library procedures and systems. You will have extensive experience of business information provision and of web-based service delivery. You will be excellent in planning and presenting effective teaching and training sessions and have great skills in analysing and evaluating services and facilities. Excellent inter-personal skills, creative and practical approach to problem-solving and ability to work under pressure and motivate others are prerequisite for this role.
