The Water Research Institute was recently launched as part of Cardiff University’s flagship research Institutes to address key societal challenges. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, skilled and experienced post-doctoral researcher to develop, both independently and as a team, a set of research objectives and research proposals at the interface between climate and water sciences. The successful candidate will have an established expertise of climate models, hydrology and catchment sciences. The role requires excellent communication skills to develop the interface between the Water URI 50 researchers and a range of water sector research organisations, in particular with the Water URI partner Met Office, acting as the main contact point between the two organisations.

The post holder will conduct research at the interface between climate and water sciences and contribute to the overall research performance of the Water URI and University, carrying out research leading to the publishing of work in high-quality journals. To pursue excellence in research and to inspire others to do the same.

This post is full time and fixed term for 3 years.

Salary: £31,656 - £37,768 per annum (Grade 6)
