Royal Holloway is developing its historic estate to provide a 21st Century Campus that meets the needs of people studying and working at the University. Consequently our campus is undergoing a multi-million pound programme of redevelopment, new builds and acquisitions. Therefore, Royal Holloway University are currently recruiting for an IT Infrastructure Project Manager to sit within IT Project Delivery within the IT Services Department to work with the internal IT Infrastructure project manager in managing a number of IT Projects, part of a programme of projects with an IT infrastructure focus.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing a number of infrastructure related IT projects and delivering them to completion, meeting the requirements within identified timescale, cost and defined quality standards, to stakeholder satisfaction.
Experience and an understanding of all aspects of IT Infrastructure including but not limited to Data and Voice Comms/Networking, Data Cabling Systems, Comms space fit out, Data Centre technologies, AV technologies, Desktop Support and the teaching space environment.
Having worked with Stakeholders at all levels and particularly desirable, working with an Estates and Facilities Department.
Experience of delivering IT cabling infrastructure, wifi, communications (Network and Telephony) rooms and Audio Visual technology solutions into new buildings is particularly desirable.
The successful candidate will also have a proven track record in engaging, establishing and building relationships with key stakeholders. They will have demonstrable experience of understanding and delivering IT infrastructure projects against business strategy and processes. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, communication and team work skills.
As a Senior IT professional, you will have experience of providing strong user-focused services, experience of ITIL and management of a technical team. You will have a clear understanding of the issues facing the Higher Education IT community, and have a keen interest in continuing to develop the role of IT services at all levels of the College. You will have strong leadership, communication, influencing and team work skills.
This is a full time, fixed term 2 Year post, immediately available for a fixed term period of 24 months. This post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
