Research Nurse

University of Cambridge - Department of Oncology

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated part-time (22.2 hours per week) nurse to work on clinical research studies within the Early Phase Clinical Trials Team (EPCTT).  The post holder will provide the nursing care for research patients and will manage, with support, the administration and day to day running of studies, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

You should be a registered nurse with oncology clinical trials experience or previous Early Phase clinical trials experience is desirable. You will have the ability to work in a self-directed and flexible manner, within a multi-disciplinary team.

The EPCTT team comprises doctors, nurses, data managers and a lab coordinator led by Prof. Duncan Jodrell. The EPCTT team's research goals are to optimise the "science-led" clinical application of novel therapies, including "first into man" (Phase 1) and associated pharmacology studies.

The EPCTT is based in the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre, a component of the Cambridge Cancer Centre (CCC), which is renowned nationally and internationally. The CCC benefits from a major funding commitment from Cancer Research UK, recognising Cambridge's position at the forefront of cancer research.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
