This post is available until 31 July 2018, to undertake research as part of a project focussing on control of Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) systems using in industrial production processes or in gas and diesel engines in power generation or vehicles to maximise amount of energy recovered from waste heat through the exhaust and coolant systems and reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The successful candidate will work with Williams Industrial Services Ltd., AES Killroot Power Ltd. and Quinn Building Products Ltd. to build a controller to optimise the operation of the WHR system in both simulation and real time experiment.
