Graduate Project Engineer

Basis: Fixed Term contract until 31st March 2019

Applications are invited for two Graduate Project Engineer positions within an ERDF funded project, Digital Integrated Manufacturing Execution (DigitME2). The work involves assisting with technology investigations for SME companies as well as research and development within UCLan’s Industry 4.0 development facility located at the Advanced Digital Manufacturing Technology Research Centre.

The successful applicants will have a good honours degree in a related engineering or computing discipline and be willing to study for a higher degree in a relevant area. Recent experience of manufacturing automation and/or design and manufacturing software would be an advantage.

Experience of systems incorporating instrumentation and sensors, high level software programming experience (C#, Java C++) and an ability to produce formal technical reports are core requirements for these positions. The successful applicants will also possess good communication and presentation skills and have an ability to work effectively in a team.
