Reporting to the Residential Operations Manager, you will work alongside a building management partner to deliver an exceptional experience to our residents in our Acton residence, carrying out all the necessary duties and activities associated with the management of health & safety issues, pastoral and tenancy needs for the students living within the hall on a daily basis.

Additionally you will be designated lead and first point of contact between the University and the building management partner for overseeing the contract and all escalated priority issues including building failures, high level pastoral and tenancy management cases. You will ensure all relevant performance indicators are managed and monitored throughout your designated hall portfolio on a regular basis.

You will provide support and line management to staff members including Residence Managers, Student Welfare Mentors and other seasonal staff members assigned to you. Also, as a member of the wider Group Residence Manager team, you will provide management assistance to the other team members and complete tasks & projects that contribute to the overall operational service delivery.

Your Profile: 

You will possess experience of day to day management in a similar customer focused environment (residential, hospitality, hotels etc.) and on a comparable scale. An understanding of landlord & tenant legislation and facilities management is advantageous.

You will have extensive experience of providing credible customer service, have the ability to keep calm when working under pressure and can maintain a solution based approach to your work and outputs at all times. You will take full ownership in your work, utilise all relevant systems & tools to your advantage and continually seek ways to improve your individual performance.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with a confident ‘can do’ attitude are absolutely essential for the role. An ability to complete project management work and produce high quality written reports is also desirable.

This post holder for this role will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
