The Royal College of Art is the world’s most influential institution of university status devoted to the study of art, design, humanities and communication and has an international reputation for excellence in teaching, practice and research. The College has some 1,780 students following postgraduate courses, and a mix of full and part-time staff totalling approximately 400.
The College is located on two sites in central London – South Kensington and Battersea – and we are currently looking to appoint a number of full-time administrators to support various Schools within the College.
The post holders will be required to support the delivery, coordination, organisation and administration of postgraduate programmes, supporting the School's general manager and academic staff in pursuit of excellent standards of postgraduate education and an unrivalled student experience. The role will span all elements of administration across the student lifecycle, including work on planning and development, marketing, admissions, student induction, timetabling, student records, assessment and feedback and examination administration.
It is essential that candidates are educated to degree level or equivalent and have administrative experience of working in a busy customer focused-environment, along with the ability to manage and prioritise a heavy workload. The successful candidate will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and will be experienced in maintaining databases and using Microsoft packages. Experience of using financial management software such as Agresso is essential, along with proficiency in the use of productivity suites (email, calendar documents, spreadsheets, databases) such as Microsoft Office or Google for work.
