The Open University’s Faculty of Business and Law (comprising the Business School and Law School) is seeking to appoint a Senior Manager, Alumni Relations to build on and grow the success of our MBA Alumni Relations programme, designing and developing a programme to engage our undergraduate business and law students and Alumni.
You will develop an Alumni community that supports the development of the OU’s global reputation and brand to the benefit of its students and Alumni, and foster a global Alumni network which delivers outstanding value for its members and the Schools. You will inspire our network of over 100,000 Alumni to support each other and the University by engaging with current students, helping and encouraging them to progress through their qualification and beyond. You will manage a small team that will provide data administration, online and offline events, and careers services and will be responsible for devising and implementing a programme that will attract and retain a diverse, global, professional student and Alumni population.
We want to hear from you if you have Alumni relations (or member engagement) experience and can demonstrate ability to initiate, develop and lead external networks that respects all individuals and recognises diversity as a strength. You will have knowledge and ability to manage large amount of data to deliver value for the organisation and the ability to source / instigate research to explore and understand customer needs to identify and interpret trends to develop products/services. You will have experience in writing and editing. In addition, you will be able to provide evidence of project management (including multiple stakeholder management), budget management and volunteer management experience.
