Working within a busy undergraduate laboratory in the Faculty of Science, the focus of the post will centre in the School of Biological Sciences. The post holder will be responsible for the preparation and clearing of the undergraduate practical teaching sessions and provide general help in all activities to necessitate the smooth running of both semester time undergraduate sessions and out of semester time events including schools events and other outreach activities which take place in the Teaching Laboratory.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent qualifications) at Grades A – C including Mathematics, Science and English. In addition, candidates will have previous general laboratory experience and be able to satisfy all essential criteria outlined in the person specification for the post.
The post is offered on an indefinite part-time (0.8fte) basis, however temporary funding is currently available to increase the hours to full time (1.0fte) until 31 October 2018.
