Research Associate in Marketing

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. 

The Bartlett School of Construction & Project Management is one of the world's leading academic centres of excellence in the management of projects and construction economics. The School seeks to appoint a Research Associate in Marketing.

The successful applicant will be expected to have research expertise in a marketing-related area who is interested in developing her/his research in the project or the built environment context. Construction, IT, media, energy or consultancy sectors are example of settings where project enterprises play a crucial role. Built environment also include buildings, cities and any man made surrounding environment such as energy, educational, transport and healthcare infrastructure. The work will include designing and running fieldwork, recording, analysis and writing up the results, under supervision; also, to assist in applying for research funding to funding councils and other bodies in this area. Additional duties may include tutoring roles and assessment of student work.

The appointee is required to have a good Bachelor's degree (minimum of 2:1) together with a PhD (or nearing substantial completion) in either management, marketing or in the built environment and project management disciplines. They will also need to have knowledge of a marketing-related research domain, especially in B2B and/or asset specific contexts together with an interest in developing research in project or built environment contexts together with knowledge of appropriate research techniques and the ability to process budget information and utilise with basic IT software. 

Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at research assistant Grade 6B (salary £ 31,432 - £33,155 per annum) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis (including corrections). This is an open-ended position.
