Senior Lecturer in Finance (Research and Teaching)

The Business School is seeking to appoint two Senior Lecturers (Research and Teaching) in Finance to play a key role in developing Finance research and teaching to students at undergraduate and Masters level. Applications from all areas of Finance are welcome. As well as undergraduate finance degrees, the school has a number of finance related Masters, notably the MSc Finance and Investment Management which is the School’s largest postgraduate programme. It is also currently developing a unique online MSc Finance and it is expected that the successful candidate will participate in this development. Opportunities for teaching overseas may also arise – for example through our partnership with South China Normal University in Guangdong province, China.

The successful applicants will have a strong, internationally recognised publication record and will have a track record in peer-rated grant applications and postgraduate supervision. Research excellence and an enthusiasm to encourage and support research capacity building within the School are important requirements for this post.

Effective and innovative teaching and teaching leadership are also key aspects of the post. Proven administration and management experience would be desirable in the successful applicant.

We are happy to consider any specialism within the Finance area.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 8 salary scale (£49,772 - £55,998 per annum) and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and a 12 month probation period.
