Clinical Teacher in Restorative Dentistry

Summary:

This post would be ideally suited to experienced dental practitioners with an interest in the education of dental students, and have as a primary role the provision of teaching and teaching innovation. We are seeking to appoint to a full-time position, but would consider part-time appointments as appropriate.

A major aspect of the post is to provide support for the training of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) undergraduates. You will be expected to take part in all aspects of clinical governance activities, participate in the University Staff Review and Development Scheme (SRDS), and postgraduate educational activities.  An appropriate honorary clinical contract will be requested from the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Applicants will need full registration with the GDC (General Dental Council) as well as appropriate post-qualifying experience as well as substantial experience in Restorative Dentistry. Applicants with a teaching qualification, a higher research degree or publications/evidence of scholarly activity would be desirable.
