The School of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham has an established and growing international reputation for research and teaching in Computer Science. The School has over 140 active researchers (academic staff, research staff and research students) who form a strong community and enjoy a stimulating intellectual environment. Both in teaching and research, our staff and students address issues of importance to the scientific community, business world and government agencies.
We invite applications for two full time Lecturers in Computer Science (teaching focused), and aim to attract exceptional educators who will advance the practice of teaching in their modules, play an important role in student academic support and deliver excellent teaching that inspires students, and is informed by discipline-based research.
Candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent at the time of appointment, in computer science, mathematics or a related field, and demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the willingness to develop innovative and challenging courses.
