The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £34,056 - £34,984 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
The successful applicant will perform research in the field of drug delivery, particular exploring the development of nanofabricated formulations for poorly water soluble drugs. In particular, our focus will be on examining means by which nanofibrous systems may be utilised for the formulation of Class II and Class IV BCS drugs. The project is part of IMODE, an INTERREG project funded by the European Union with partners including the UK, France and Belgium. Close collaboration with academic and industrial partners in the consortium is strongly anticipated. This post is funded for 26 months in the first instance.
A PhD (or soon to complete) in a subject relevant to pharmaceutical science and engineering. Knowledge of solid state nanofabrication and/or formulation techniques.
Subject to the regulations of the funding bodies appropriately qualified members of research staff will be expected to contribute to teaching or other departmental activities. At the present time this is estimated to amount to an absolute maximum of thirty contact teaching hours per annum for full time staff.
