Location: University Park
Salary: £49,772 to £59,400 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The School of Health Sciences is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Associate Professor in the Division of Midwifery to develop and lead programmes of research in midwifery/maternal health and wellbeing. The post holder will be based in the Division of Midwifery and will join a growing team of researchers in the Maternal Health and Wellbeing Research Group. This is one of six research groups producing highly-rated research outputs in a vibrant School with a strong research and knowledge transfer ethos. The main purposes of this post are to conduct high-quality research and to support research capacity-building, including clinical academic careers. The candidate will have significant experience in research supervision of doctoral students through to completion.

The successful candidate will have a national and developing international profile. The research group works closely with local Trusts so a commitment to working collaboratively with providers and users of maternity services and community groups is essential

This is a full-time post. The post holder will be expected to contribute to education including pre-registration midwifery education; postgraduate taught and research programmes in the School of Health Sciences.
