Salary: Professor: Competitive Salary; Associate Professor: £49,772 - £57,674
The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is passionate about healthcare with real-world impact, striving to be excellent in research, teaching and innovation.
We seek to appoint a high calibre individual with an excellent international reputation to the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health. You will drive and enhance the best quality research, teaching and entrepreneurial activities and actively encourage this amongst colleagues. The department has particular strengths in service user engagement; healthcare education and learning for practice; healthcare organisation and practice improvement and, for nurse candidates, ageing, later life and long-term conditions. Candidates with an established reputation in one of the above research areas or in any area of health-related research linked to the Faculty’s multi-disciplinary theme of Integrated Health and Social Care are welcome to apply.
You must hold a first degree and be qualified to Doctoral level in a relevant discipline and have leading subject expertise in nursing and/or midwifery with specialist knowledge gained through research activity, professional practice or consultancy. Proven ability to deliver high quality research led teaching within an appropriate field and a publication profile commensurate with the post of Professor/Associate Professor are essential. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council is desirable.
