Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Research Manager (Chronic Disease Research Centre – CDRC) at The University of the West Indies, Barbados.
Research Manager (Chronic Disease Research Centre - CDRC)
This is a full-time, senior administrative position available for 3 years in the first instance. Applicants for this post should possess a Masters degree in Public Health or Research Administration, and demonstrate a proven track record in the following:
- Project Management, capable of delivering projects on time, within budget and of high quality;
- Management of projects that require an integrated change control process;
- Development and management of effective and efficient quality control processes.
The post-holder should have extensive experience in developing standards for the operation of a health research facility. The CDRC operates many grant-funded projects, and the post-holder should have experience in managing multiple projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met. It would be highly desirable for the postholder to have a proven experience of managing health surveillance systems. Knowledge of the administrative regulations governing the University of the West Indies would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will be expected to assume duties by February 1, 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.
