The Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit - Cancer Theme (CCTU-CT) is an NCRI accredited Unit for oncology clinical trials and associated research led by investigators at the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We take trials from initial ideas and design, through conduct and analysis, to final publication and dissemination of results. The MRC Biostatistics Unit is one of Europe's leading biostatistics research institutions. Our focus is to deliver new analytical and computational strategies based on sound statistical principles for the challenging tasks facing biomedicine and public health.

This vacancy is a joint post with the MRC Biostatistics Unit (BSU) Hub. We are seeking a statistician with interests in adaptive trial design research who wants to develop their trials methodology and statistical experience by joining the CCTU-CT team. The role involves the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials, covering many different types of cancer. The vacancy provides an exciting opportunity to make important contributions to clinical research in a centre of excellence.

Applicants should have a post-graduate qualification in medical statistics with previous experience in clinical trials. You will be part of the CCTU-CT team which consists of statisticians, co-ordinators, programmers, and data managers. In addition to developing adaptive trial designs with the MRC BSU and overseeing all stages of clinical trial development, you will be responsible for writing analysis plans, completing interim and final analyses of ongoing clinical trials, and will develop your expertise in study design and publication.
