Aston University is seeking to appoint a Dean for its Centre for Learning Innovation and Professional Practice (CLIPP). This is a Professorial position and an exciting opportunity for an expert in educational development to build on Aston’s strong reputation for high quality learning and teaching. This role is key to ensuring that the student experience continuously improves in order to meet the University’s aims as set out in the Aston 2020 strategy. 

The Dean of CLIPP will work closely with Schools, Departments and the Provost in providing expert advice on curriculum development and delivering the University’s learning strategy.  An important focus will also be in leading Aston’s Higher Education Academy accredited CPD route for fellowship and Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, supporting staff to gain accreditation.

The successful candidate should have a PhD as well as experience within the disciplines represented at Aston University and in education or a related field.  The role requires significant demonstrable experience at a leadership level and within higher and/or further education.
