Institute of Inflammation and Ageing
This post is to carry out research and teaching in the area of Inflammation and Ageing, working closely with and supporting the work of the director of the Institute of Inflammation and Ageing, Professor Janet Lord. The post holder will be expected to develop their own research programme to fit with the strategy of the Institute and could include topics such as immunesenescence, frailty, trauma in the context of the older adult, musculoskeletal ageing or basic biology of ageing. The post holder will also contribute to the teaching of biogerontology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Applicants must hold a PhD in a life science with substantive postdoctoral experience and an established publication record in human ageing, ideally with a focus on immunity or physical frailty.
Starting salary is normally in the range £39,324 to £46,924.
