This post will be Fixed Term for 13 months
This post will provide secondment cover for a key role within the PET Radiochemistry team.
The post holder will have overall responsibility for the production of PET radiotracers at the facility: including research and routine production of radiopharmaceuticals, infrastructure maintenance, training staff in production-related activities, and ensuring that documentation is complete and that production complies with appropriate MHRA and radiation safety legislation. The post holder will have overall management of the production teams. Candidates will also need to organize rotas and will be expected to foster a productive, proactive culture in the lab.
Applicants would ideally have a PhD in Chemistry, Pharmacy or a related discipline, although the panel will consider applicants with equivalent experience. They should have experience of working in a radiochemistry/radiopharmacy lab; practical experience of the production of PET radiopharmaceuticals; and a track record of adhering to GMP standards.
