Salary: £29,301 to £38,183 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
We are seeking a midwife to join our team of creative and committed academic staff. The post will enable you to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in Higher Education. Successful applicants will be expected to make a significant contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery education programmes. You would be expected to provide support to students within academic and placement environments, establish effective relationships with external partners and service users. The geographical nature of the School requires the post holder to be able to deliver the programme and support students across the East Midlands.
Midwives wishing to apply for a Teaching Associate post must hold a Master’s degree (or almost completed their programme) in midwifery or related subject and be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). In addition applicants must be willing to undertake a programme of study for teacher accreditation status with the NMC.
It is a condition of the post that satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service and NMC registration as a midwife is obtained from the NMC within three months of any offer.
